Ahr Cycle Path
Eifel Idyll and Vineyard Romance

The approx. 83km long Ahr Cycle Path leads from the source of the river Ahr in Blankenheim, past the smallest and finest wine-growing regions in Germany to the only protected confluence into the Rhine near Sinzig.
Sightseeing left and right

Starting point for this route is the town of Blankenheim, the source of the Ahr which springs in a half timbered house, the "Grafenburg", and the Eifel museum are all worth a visit.
On your way to Ahrdorf you will cycle past nine viaducts, you will continue your journey to Antweiler via Dorsel and Müsch. The route goes along the former railway route and through the idyllic river landscape of the Ahrtal.
The route takes you to one of Germany‘s most beautiful wine regions via the towns of Fuchshofen, Schuld, and Kreuzberg. You will have a wonderful panoramic view from the castle Are in Altenahr. In Mayschoß, Rech, and Dernau you will come across nume-rous wineries and wine taverns.
Other highlights along the way are the historic town of Ahrweiler, the spa town Bad Neuenahr with its spa park, casino, spas, and a variety of events throughout the year.
Your cycling tour will finish in the conservation area, the confluence near Sinzig, which is the only protected confluence into the Rhine.
