Nicely tucked in
The offers from our hosts are as diverse as the North Eifel itself. You can find guest houses and holiday apartments nearly everywhere in towns and villages, and also at farms. Many hosts specialise in cyclists, hikers and families with children - and that all year round. In addition there are hotels, camp sites and youth hostels. The choice of accommodation also includes a natural campsite in the middle of the forest.
Larder of the North Eifel
The hosts’ larders are well-filled with regional products from every season: asparagus and strawberries in the early summer, apples, plums and potatoes in the late summer, in addition to mushrooms and game in the autumn. During the plum harvest a fresh slice of”Prummetaat”, (plum tart,) with coffee is a must. All year round, there are Eifel specialities such as “Rievkoche” (potato pancakes), pea soup or roast- and of course a fresh Eifel draught beer as a reward after a strenuous hike. For those of you who like to cook from regional products themselves there are many farm shops and weekly local markets in the North Eifel with fresh ingredients.
