Cycling experience North Eifel
real. good. cycling! The North Eifel offers everything that makes cyclists' hearts beat faster. The cycle paths lead along rivers such as the Erft, Olef and Urft, to lakes such as in Kronenburg or Zülpich or to moated castles such as in Satzvey and Flamersheim. Summit climbers can scale the highest point in the North Eifel at the Weißer Stein.
Junction system
The newly installed cycle junction system makes the North Eifel very flexibly "cycleable". Whether it's a family outing, a multi-day tour or a trip for two into the countryside. The "Cycle by numbers system" makes it very easy to plan tours according to your preferences and tastes. The standardised signposting system consists of red junction signs and information signs at all important junctions and crossroads, providing a perfect orientation system along the way. This makes it easy to plan a tour by using the defined junctions to create a route. You can get an impression of the system from the overview of the junctions. All 16 EifelRadSchleifen run along the cycle junction system.

16 EifelBikeLoops for every taste
The brand new EifelBikeLoops now extend the possibilities for exploring the North Eifel by bike. Behind them are 16 themed circular tours in a daily format of between 20 and 50 kilometres, all of which run along the new cycle hub system in the district of Euskirchen. The varied landscape not only guarantees an unforgettable and intense experience of nature. The eventful past has left its special mark on the North Eifel. This is why you will pass a multitude of sights, impressive monuments and evidence of history on your tours.
A North Eifel cycling and hiking railway station is recommended as a starting and finishing point. There is practically no need to change the route, as all EifelRadSchleifen run on the cycle junction system. You only need to memorise the individual junctions on the respective EifelBikeLoop.
Worth knowing
All 16 EifelRadSchleifen are presented in the 36-page brochure "Raderlebnis Nordeifel" (as a PDF file) with all the important information. The cycle brochure is also available as an e-paper.
We also recommend the "bikeline cycling map for the Euskirchen district", which contains all the locations of the junctions. You can purchase the map in our shop, in all tourist information centres in the North Eifel or in bookshops at a price of € 6.90.
