Partner trail of the Eifelsteig

The Eifelsteig is complemented by the "Rur-Olef-Route" in the northern Eifel. The combination with the Eifelsteig results in an attractive round tour, which can also be booked as an arrangement.

The 37 km long "Rur-Olef-Route" runs from Gemünd via Schleiden to Hellenthal. From Hellenthal the route leads to Einruhr. Along the way you will get to know the beauty of the Oleftal and wonderful open landscapes.

Highlights along the route

Attractions such as the Schleiden Castle Church as well as the Hellenthal wildlife enclosurewith its famous bird of prey station enrich the route. From Einruhr you get back to Gemünd via the Eifelsteig (20 km).

Circular hiking made easy

The length of the individual stages is also suitable for longer day hikes. Three days hiking on the Rur-Olef-Route incl. overnight stay, breakfast, luggage transfer and GästeCard can also be booked as a package on request.

Also in 2022, the Eifelsteig hiking bus is in operation and provides a comfortable and environmentally friendly connection to the Eifelsteig & its partner trails.

  1. Gemünd - Hellenthal (17km)
  2. Hellenthal - Einruhr (20km)
  3. Einruhr - Gemünd (20km via the EifelSteig)
