Hasenberghof

Visit the Art Cabinet at the Hasenberghof in Dahlem-Kronenburg. This unusual home for paintings, a former agriculturally used property is supported by the Dr Axe- Foundation.

The foundation buys paintings from artists of the Düsseldorf Art School presented in changing exhibitions at the Art Cabinet at the Hasenberghof. Today the collection includes paintings of all genres, from historical representations of landscape and genre painting, to portraits and still life.
The brothers Andreas and Oswald Achenbach, Eduard Bendemann, Max Clarenbach, Eugène Dücker, Carl Wilhelm Hübner, Jacob Lehnen, Carl Friedrich Lessing, Emilie Preyer, Johann Wilhelm Schirmer, and August and Fritz von Wille are represented among other painters.

The Dr Axe Foundation also supports animal welfare. Old livestock breeds together with sanctuary animals live at the Hasenberghof.
