Eifel traces
Really. Good. Hiking. Is the promise we make to the hiking world of the future with the Eifel Loops and the Eifel Traces. The 18 themed Eifel Traces trails are fully signposted and all trails have catchy names. In the beautiful Lampertstal in Blankenheim, with its impressive juniper hillside, one trail takes you to the Tuscany of the Eifel. The Clothier Trail takes you on the traces of the formative industry of Euskirchen. The Robber Barrons is the theme of one trail in Hellenthal. Experience history on the trails Water for Cologne in Mechernich, Knights, Romans, Beets in Zülpich and the Silver Treasure in Nettersheim. You will encounter special floristic features on the Eifel traces Home of Heather near Kall, the Wilderness Trail near Dahlem and the Herbal Path which connects Nettersheim and Bad Münstereifel. Popular trails such as the long-distance trails EifelSteig, Roman Canal Trail and the AhrSteig are connected with the new trails. You are spoiled for choices!
Eifel Traces for everyone

The tours very in difficulty, are between 3 - 24km long, and we therefore have suitable trails for everyone. There are options for walks, short hikes, but also for challenging tours with great inclines. All Eifel Traces are looped hiking trails, so your hikes are easily planned. In many cases, a “cycle and hike train station” is nearby. Getting lost is practically impossible since all trails are signposted with a uniform system. Just follow the signs with the logo of the trail you have chosen.
