Stockert Astropeiler

Get to experience how the secrets of the universe are researched live and enjoy the wonderful view from above over the Eifel at the Astropeiler.

The Astropeiler stands on a 400m high hill near Bad Münstereifel-Stockert, the first free-moving German radio telescope. The construction stems from the late 1950s and is a unique piece of German science history. During the guided tours you can enjoy the round view of the Eifel from the telescope’s maintenance platform.
