Dear Guests and Friends of our region,
the flooding on 14th and 15th of July 2021 destroyed several villages and towns in the county Euskirchen. The cleanup efforts are in progress in the concerned areas, as well as the reconstruction of the infrastructure. Because of the importance of these actions, it is very important to not disturb those progresses.
Therefore please avoid driving or travelling through the concerned villages and towns. This applies for the areas: Euskirchen City, Bad Münstereifel City and the villages Arloff and Iversheim, Kall City, Schleiden City, and Gemünd City. In addition the region of the whole Ahrtal (Ahrvalley) behind the village Blankenheim needs to be avoided. Please be also aware of that it is not possible to use the bicycle tracks: Erft-Radweg, Ahr-Radweg, Wasserburgen-Route and all tracks near by the rivers Urft and Olef.
Happily many villages and towns were spared. Therefore our tourist information centers will help you to plan your stay in our region, no matter if it will be a day trip or a vacation of several days/weeks. Besides, your host or any other staff member of a touristic spot will help and inform you about any form of updates.
Our office is available by phone (+49 2441 99457-0) and via e-mail (info@nordeifel-tourismus(dot)de) on Monday till Friday from 08.00 am till 8:30 pm. Book your upcoming stay in our accommodation overview .
Please feel welcome in our region!
