You won’t get bored in the North Eifel, not during the holidays or at the weekends. There is a lot to discover. By the way, the North Eifel is a large and generous (adventure) playground for the whole family, whatever the weather.
For Researchers and Discoverers
You could go on a treasure hunt with your kids in the visitors’ mine, go looking for fossils, have a farming holiday, make a bow and arrow, bake bread or make felt material.
The journey back in time from the 15th -21st centuries is especially popular in the Kommern LVR Open Air Heritage Museum, ranger tours in the Eifel National Park and short research tours in the Nettersheim Eifel Nature Centre.
The Eifel means homeland for me. Even as a child I loved to load hay with my granddad and help him in the barn during the summer. The smells and impressions from those times count as the most beautiful childhood memories, which I still enjoy as an adult."

You can discover the primeval forest of the future in the Wild Kermeter Adventure region with its Wild Paths. You can chill out on holiday at our lakes and open-air swimming pools. Even in bad weather you won’t get bored in the Eifel. Then you can go wild at the indoor playground, or discover and try out the adventurous exhibitions.
