A thirst for knowledge and hungry for culture
Romans, Knights, Ramba Zamba
The North Eifel not only offers unforgettable nature experiences but it is also one of the most
interesting German cultural landscapes. Numerous archaeological and historical testimonies mirror the history of the region. There is hardly a region richer in Roman relics, medieval castles and convents in addition to industrial monuments. They are accompanied by places such as Bad Münstereifel, Kronenburg and Vogelsang IP with its two impressive exhibitions.
Like being in a time machine
Even though it may sound over-exaggerated it is actually possible to travel in a time machine with us. In addition to well-known and established classics such as the Roman Aqueduct, the Kommern LVR Open Air Heritage Museum or the Steinfeld Monastery it is sometimes the unknown treasures and gems that surprise you.
Cultural diversity
The cultural scene is just as varied. Throughout the year numerous events take place in the North Eifel. This ranges from large and small markets, exhibitions, concerts, readings, archaeological digs to festive games.
Stopping for refreshments the Eifel way
End your exciting day with a piece of “Prommetaat” (plum tart), “Döppekooche” (potato cake), or “Eefeler Wuersch” (Eifel sausages) in one of our cafés or restaurants.
