Roman Canal Hiking Trail as a location or a long distance hike
The 120 kilometer long Roman Canal Hiking Trail (Römerkanal-Wanderweg) from Nettersheim to Cologne follows the route of the Roman Eifel Aqueduct. Along the way, about 50 information boards are installed on Roman features. The hosts along the Roman Canal Hiking Trail invite you to stop and spend the night.
During the hike on the Roman Canal Hiking Trail, you will roam through the charming landscapes from the northern Eifel to Cologne and get to know the relics of the large construction from Roman times up close. The parallel course of the railroad provides perfect opportunities to return to the starting point of your hike.
The arrangement is possible either as a "Standortwanderung" or as a "Streckenwanderung".
