Bruder-Klaus Kapelle

Designed by the Swiss star Architect Peter Zumthor, the modern field chapel, Bruder Klaus Chapel, is dedicated to St Nicholas of Flue and is internationally famous. The religious building with its unusual architecture is visible from a distance and situated near Mechernich-Wachendorf on the property of the Scheidtweiler family. Light falls into the interior of the sacred building through hundreds of semi- round glass spheres and an opening in the roof, creating an unusual spiritual space.
