Some hiking package deals are also possible with dogs. Again in 2020, the EifelSteig Hiking Bus and the Eifel cycle and hike bus are in operation and provide a conve-nient and environmentally friendly connection to the EifelSteig & further hiking trails in the North Eifel.

Flourish in the Eifel
Witness how nature comes alive and flourishes. Be inspired by this spectacle of nature and enjoy the impressive encounter with the natural treasures of the Eifel, such as the wild narcissus, wild garlic, broom, juniper, marsh gentian, und arnica. You can experi-ence the moment of flowering during a hike on one of the brand new Eifel Traces.

Eifel Traces
Really. Good. Hiking! -on the 18 brand new Eifel Traces. There is always a theme in the focus of these 3km - 21km long hiking loops.
Embark on a unique journey of discovery along the specially themed hiking loops in the North Eifel, such as "Clothier trail", on the footsteps of the "Robber Barons", or "Tuscany of the Eifel".

Roman Canal Trail
The 120 kilometre long Roman Canal Trail from Nettersheim to Cologne follows the route of the Eifel Roman Aqueduct. About 50 information panels are installed along the way. Obtain a useful companion in form of a free printable pocket guide and an archeo-logical hiking guide. The hosts along the Roman Canal Trail invite to spend the night.

EifelSteig over short distances
As an alternative to the official stages of the premium hiking trail EifelSteil - Germa-ny’s most beautiful hiking trail 2015 - in the northern Eifel, you can hike shorter sta-ges. This way you still have plenty of time to enjoy the attractions left and right of the EifelSteig. Transfers are possible with public transport.

Rur - Olef trail
The EifelSteig is supplemented by the Rur -Olef trail which goes from Gemünd via Schleiden to Hellenthal. From threre the trail leads to Rurberg. Along the way you expe-rience the beauty of the Olef valley and its beautiful open landscapes. Attractions such as the Castle Church in Schleiden and the Hellenthal Birds of Prey Compound / Wildlife Park enrich the hike.

On Old Paths through the Eifel
You habe an ideal opportunity to experience the beautiful North Eifel when you hike the 79,5km long trail “On Old Paths through the Eifel”. Follow the premium hiking trail Ei-felSteig and the adventure routes Rur-Olef trail, Castle route, and Eifel Source Path. This hike is possible with a dog upon request.

Wilderness & Wellnes
Take a three day break to explore the Adventure Region of the Eifel National Park and get to know the wilderness of tomorrow. The Eifel National Park is characterized by its natural hardwood forests, wide panoramic views, natural streams and a fascinating lake side landscape.

AhrSteig
The quality trail offers a special hiking experience from its water source in Blanken-heim to where the river Ahr flows into the Rhine.
Get to know the attractive and diverse landscape of the Ahr valley on a muti- day hike along the AhrSteig from its source in the Eifel to where it flows into the Rhine.
