Eifel Nature Centre
The Eifel Nature Centre in Nettersheim is a nationwide environmental centre with exhibitions about nature and history. Take part in one of the many excursions or visit one of the seminars. From family fun and activity programmes for school classes to birthdays, the offers are always accompanied by a qualified expert. Choose what you have always wanted to know or do: look over the shoulder of a beekeeper, learn about the legacy of dinosaurs, preserve fossils, dine like the Romans…..
In the main building the exhibition brings the archaeology and natural history of the region to life. In the “Fossil-house” the unique fossil collection gives an impression of the long past world. Many discovery stages make a trip along the Dandelion Trail an entertaining and exciting family experience.
Visit the “VIA Roman Road Adventure Region”, Information Centre, which is set up in the Eifel
Nature Centre. The main topic is economics in the Roman Times. On a 4km long circular walk through the Archaeological Landscape Park you can discover the Roman settlement and Roman Road on your own or accompanied by an expert guide.
"In the Eifel Nature Centre we have the opportunity to show our younger and older guests our wonderful homeland. Special highlights such as the “Archaeological Landscape Park” and the “Adventure Trails” attract numerous people interested in nature and culture into the North Eifel.
The huge interest in our leisure activities gives us great joy and shows how attractive our region is."
