The approximately 100 km long hiking trail offers a special hiking experience from its source in Blankenheim to where the river Ahr flows into the Rhine near Sinzig. The AhrSteig is a challenging hiking trail, which is especially loved because of its natural diversity, the wealth of natural monuments, and cultural treasures along the way. Out-standing views of the romantic Ahr valley distinguish the AhrSteig. Idyllic forest- and quiet meadow paths are offset by gentle plateaus and narrow rocky paths, lone pla-teaus alternate with vibrant wine villages. In Blankenheim you will find a connection to the EifelSteig and the Eifel Source trail.
