Kommern

Kommern is the pearl of the town of Mechernich with its many beautiful half-timbered houses in the historical village centre. Among Kommern’s culturally and historically important buildings- including the lovingly restored half-timbered houses- is the neo-Gothic Catholic parish church of St. Severin from the second half of the 19th century and the castle from the 15th to 18th century, which is privately owned.

Every year there are various markets in the village such as the Herbal day, the Apple and Pumpkin festival and the historical crafts market.
