Swan Pharmacy Museum
A museum was created out of a nearly two hundred-year-old pharmacy, which was in family ownership for seven generations. In the original establishment there are old jars, equipment to produce medication, laboratory equipment, old medical packaging, medical and plant books, documents and photos of the pharmacy family to admire.
The drawers in the shelf case show the descriptions of “drugs” (healing plants), in addition to smelling tests and invite you to take part actively. Visitors can slip in the role of a pharmacist themselves, twist pills into papers and fill moulds to make suppositories during special guided tours.
The pharmacy museum is home to one of the two Bad Münstereifel Tourist information centres.
